Jane Austen, one of my favorite authors, was born on this day in 1775. In honor of that fact, I wanted to share some of my favorite Jane Austen items, including beauty that I just got from Barnes & Nobles.
I've been a fan of Jane Austen since high school when I randomly came across Pride and Prejudice in my school's library and decided to give it a try. I devoured the book (although it took me sometime to understand just how far back this book take place), and I moved on to the rest of her works. While Pride and Prejudice remains dear to my heart, I, unlike Mark Twain, haven't read a book by Austen that I haven't liked. So as far as I am concerned, Mark Twain can shove it.
And I also wanted to share my favorite gift ever, which features some of the last pages from Pride and Prejudice - from my friend Stephanie. This has been a perfect addition to my ever-growing gallery wall in my apartment.
If you haven't read any of her novels, (or you haven't read them since being forced to in high school) you should definitely give Jane Austen a try. She's incredibly witty, and her stuff is wonderful.
