It has officially been FIVE years since I studied abroad in Leeds, England. It's a fact that while I can believe it (a lot of things have changed since then!), I also can't. Time is really weird like that I guess.
Leeds, England is north of London and is smaller by comparison. I attended Leeds Uni and got to do a lot of traveling while I was living there. And luckily, London was just a train ride away.
In honor of this milestone, I went on what I am now calling a nostalgic rampage. Maybe you've done it before - look through all of your old scrapbooks (if you still have them) and look at all of your albums on Facebook. It made me really grateful for the whole experience and all of the amazing people I met from my travels. Definitely the best choice I made while in school, especially as I probably won't be able to travel like that in such an unhindered way ever again.
I just wanted to share some of my favorite moments in England.
Isn't this just the most idyllic thing you have ever seen?
When my friend Heidi visited, we took the time to go out to visit both Jane Austen's house in Chawton and this beautiful estate, called Chatsworth House, that's featured as Pemberley in the 2005 movie version of Pride and Prejudice. This house (if you can even call it that) was just incredible. The flowers below were part of the grounds.
