It’s my birthday today! Cheers! Considering I was asked for my ID about a month ago when buying a lottery ticket, I refuse to feel too old or to be grumbling about my birthday. I don’t care if I am turning twenty-six, thirty, or fourty-seven, I promise to never grumble about it. All birthdays should be celebrated.
I am lucky and have gotten to spend this birthday week with some truly incredible people. Steak dinners, bouquets of daffodils, birthday lunches, shopping trips at Michael's, cupcakes, cheesecake - all before my actual birthday! I am just so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
It is a little crazy, though, how fast all these years have flown by. I know we all probably feel this way, have all said it and have all heard it a million times, but it still holds true and feels worth mentioning. It feels like I was just in college yesterday, but it was actually four years ago. What? There is just no way that that can be true. I mean, I still, to this day, have dreams where I miss the school bus.
In any case, it’s a happy day, has been a great week, and I am excited for what year 26 has yet to bring!
