Quick Updates on All Those Goals

First and foremost, I'd like to wish a very happy birthday to one of the very best people I know, my sister! I only wish we lived in the same state so that I could celebrate with you today!  Thank you for being one of my best friends and biggest inspirations!

Quick Updates - A Detailed Palette

With that inspiration in mind, I decided to give a few updates about my ongoing projects and goals.

The Etsy Shop: I can't remember how much I discussed this on the blog. I know I mentioned it at least once. Well, the etsy shop dream still lives on, but I am not much closer to creating one than I was when it was first mentioned. Basically, I have just been sucking at this and not prioritizing it like I need to. Time to buckle down, create some products, and set up shop. I am setting a tentative goal of opening by August.

Style: The summer wardrobe capsule is in full effect, and I think I am currently in love with stripes, tassel necklaces, lace/crotchet shirts, and long-waisted dresses. I have never felt more confident in what I am wearing, and I have also never spent so little time picking it out. I'm telling you guys, this thing is worth a try.

Fitness: Does anyone else struggle with getting their fitbit to charge? I just cannot get mine to charge. It's for sure been an ongoing problem, and oh my gosh, it is so annoying! Thankfully, even without my fitbit, I am doing okay both on the eating healthy and the running fronts. I've managed to already log 42 miles for this month! Yay!

Writing Fiction: Oh my gosh, I have been so bad at this one too. Time to set aside a few hours on Sunday or Saturday to just sit down and do it.

Home: Still searching for the perfect dresser for Andy, and I'm still hoping to create a duvet cover and some nice new curtains. Lastly, we're still waiting for our couch to finally arrive. Once the couch gets here, our living room will finally feel like a living room, and I am so excited.

Gardening: To be honest, my lettuce plant looked a little rough today. I am not sure if this is because of some snacking bunnies, the humidity, or maybe it just needs some water. Here's to hoping it perks up tomorrow.

Reading: Currently reading Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks, and it is hilarious. Next up on the list is The Martian by Andy Weir, about an astronaut stranded on Mars, and The Terror by Dan Simmons, which is a fictional account of the disappearance of Franklin's lost expedition.

Have you read any of the above books? Let me know what you thought! Although, no spoilers please. Have a great rest of your Thursday!
