My friend Becca texted me yesterday asking me for good everyday purse recommendations. To be honest, I was pretty flattered that she thought to ask me, and I couldn't help but think that it might make for a really good blog post! Because, I mean, who doesn't want to talk about handbags every now and then?
She did have a few constraints; the purse had to be under $100, and she was hoping it would have some segmenting/pockets inside so that she wouldn't lose everything inside of it - her problem with her current bag. While she preferred brown, I also threw a few black options in there just in case, as black and brown both can go with so many different outifuts. Here are a few of my picks!
As you can see from above, I am a huge fan of crossbody and tote styles. As I have seen my friend with both styles, I hope that there is at least one that she loves on this list!
While some of these had dividers, others did not. It can actually be really tricky to find out which ones have any sort of pockets or segmenting inside when you're shopping online, as you can't just open the purse to see for yourself. I did happen to find that there are may purse organizers available on Etsy, which is great news if you want to be more organized, but you don't want to necessarily buy a new bag. In any case, I, too, have a purse (the tote that I made!) that could benefit from an organizer so I am going to try my hand at making my own. If it turns out well enough, I will be sure to post a DIY tutorial on creating purse organizers.
Another option is to purchase additional smaller and more affordable bags to keep things segmented; makeup bags and coin purses work well and can hold many different items like pens, lipstick, chapstick, phones, chargers, etc. This is what I currently do now for one of my larger bags, and I find that it works really well for me.
Any handbag organization tips that you'd like to share?
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
