Green tones have really been drawing me in lately. When it came to knitting a blanket for the living room, I knew immediately that I wanted to go with this sage color.
I also was immediately drawn to the color combination below as I was looking through West Elm's August catalog. Deep, emerald greens meeting rich cognac brown - incredibly eye catching! I absolutely love the way this whole room looks. It kind of reminds me of a more modern take a the classic study - the colors are still masculine while the artwork and traditional details (like the button tufting on the couch) give it a refined appeal. The only thing missing is the fireplace and the desk.
I think that there is something really organic and natural about the color combination of emerald green and cognac brown. I have heard green tones be defined as "Nature's neutral", and I think it's pretty fitting overall.
What do you think about this color combination? In addition to interiors, I think it's something that could be really perfect for fall fashion.
Have a great rest of your Tuesday!
