Pantone announced that the colors of the year for 2016 are Rose Quartz and Serenity. I love both color selections & think they are solid choices from what I've seen in the realm of home decor and interior design.
Rose Quartz is basically a blush hue - something that has been HUGE for interiors and fashion. It's been a favorite new color when it comes to walls.
Using this softer pink in small bursts is another way to incorporate it into your home. While decidedly feminine, it isn't too intense and can easily be paired with other colors, like the green above, for a look that isn't too feminine or too masculine.
Serenity is a perfect name for this light blue color. Both Rose Quartz and Serenity evoke calm - something that more homes seem to be going for these days. Movement towards these colors that lend a soothing feel is most likely because, as our lives get busier and more connected, homes are more about rest and calm than ever before.
Both colors go well with a gray - another restful hue that's been growing in popularity and a special favorite of my own.
