While the summer may seem like a weird time to knit, it's actually my favorite time of year to pick out yarn and grab my needles. Firstly, yarn is nearly always on sale during the summer, making it even more affordable / making my need to by yarn much more reasonable. Secondly, there seems to be more of a rush to complete knitted projects in the winter - I think I feel this pressure because the cold weather has already arrived and therefore I am already behind. In the summer, though, I feel ahead of the game and it allows me to knit at a more leisurely pace. I am currently working on a cable knit throw blanket for my living room. The color above is my favorite color right now when it comes to yarn. It really complements the grays, whites, blacks, and golds of my very eclectic living room.
A few favorite patterns I am loving right now:
Cable Throw Blanket - this is what I am working on right now.
Basketweave Throw Pillow Cover - I have yet to try basketweave, but I absolutely love the look of it. Talk about adding some cool texture to your home!
Fisherman Ribbed Throw Pillow Cover - I want to give this one a shot as well. It just looks so cozy.
Have a great weekend!
