The ADP Book Club: October 2015 Edition
Happy October! To quote Anne Shirley, I am so glad that I live in a world where Octobers exist!
After finally finishing both The Martian and The Sun Also Rises over the weekend, I wanted to share what I’ll be reading for the glorious month of October.
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
I have read two Christie novels and loved both of them. I also recently came across the episode of Doctor Who that features Christie and decided that it would be a good time to read some of her other works. She has so many novels! Can’t wait to read this one.
Looking for Alaska by John Green
I’ve heard so many good things about this novel, and I was able to snag a copy at TJ Maxx for only $3. Shout out to my friend Nicole for noticing it and pointing out the great deal!
Emma by Jane Austen
I have read this one before, but it’s one that I definitely want to reread before I attend the 200 Years of Jane Austen Seminar!
Anne of Windy Poplars by L. M. Montgomery
I have lost track of how many times I've read this one, but I always seem to find myself rereading it during the fall seasons. The whole Anne series is one of my all-time favorites, and reading it this time of year is really perfect. Montgomery always describes nature and fall so well that I always find myself appreciating everything the season has to offer that much more. I particularly like this book over some of the others in the series, as Anne is older and doesn't yet have a ton of children, making her a bit more relatable.
Any good books that I need to add to my list?
