In the world of home decor, plants are particularly trendy right now. While I personally think any plant is good option to add to your home, here are the top trending plants - and how to take care of them.
Fiddle Leaf Fig Trees: These plants are particularly popular and of-the-moment right now, and they require relatively low maintenance levels. They need indirect light, and the soil should be allowed to dry in between waterings. Warning: this plant is toxic to pets - so be sure to keep this out of reach if you have any pets who might take a nimble or two.
Rubber Trees: These plants can be a bit trickier to maintain, as they require a more humid atmosphere. Be sure to mist this plant on a very regular basis while keeping it placed in direct sunlight. Even if more maintenance is required, this plant just has such a cool look, making it worth it in the end
Philodendrons: These plants will crawl - meaning that they will grow towards the sun. It's a very cool effect, causing a cascading of leaves and growth that I just love. They prefer indirect light and only need to be watered about once every week. If you have pets, be sure to keep the leaves off the ground and keep pets from eating these due to their toxic nature.
Snake Plants: These plants are also pretty low maintenance. Simply place in indirect light and allow for soil to dry in between waterings - so probably water only about once a week or so. These also have a very distinct look that can add some much needed texture in just about any space.
Any favorites? Have a wonderful Tuesday!
