Over the weekend, we decided to visit the Pope Farm Conservancy in Middleton WI. It's a really unique place - acres upon acres of land that is totally untouched, undeveloped, and totally peaceful.
If I am being totally honest, I was there for the sunflowers. It's what Pope Farm Conservancy is known for - their fields upon fields of beautiful sunflowers in the month of August. That said, there were many other gorgeous sights to see. So many wildflowers throughout the entire property.
Technically, the week before was probably the best time to see the sunflowers. It was when they reached their prime. They were a bit droopy during our visit - but still beautiful nonetheless.
I especially loved this stone fence that ran throughout part of the conservancy. It reminded me so much of England in the best possible way. The white barn in the background didn't hurt either. Such an adorable building!
All in all, this nature conservancy was quite picturesque - glad that we finally got the chance to see it for ourselves! I always love finding cool places like this that aren't too far from home. I think we have a tendency to forget about all of the cool things around us - it's nice to play the tourist in your own state every now and then.
Have a great Thursday!
